Our Pacific Yoga Styles
Simple sun salutations and a deliberate, slow sequence flowing from one posture to another with time to find stillness. Students value the variety and the space to find what works for them. Very good if you come to yoga principally for relaxation, each pose moving into the next with focus on breath. A light, fun atmosphere with simple animal names for the postures and alternatives given for different abilities.
A student says:
My first practice… hard to let go of the thoughts buzzing in my head (with less movement to distract me) but by the second class I could hold the postures for longer. I like the variety, the flowing nature, the time to reflect and find stillness.
A teacher says:
I was taught a faster approach but found most groups liked something slower. Adapting to the class’s needs ‘on the hoof’ is important. I particularly recommend this if students feel overwhelmed in other classes.
