I was 15, and rather than run, I chose yoga for my PE credits at High School (on a different continent) and immediately fell in love. At first I practiced Astanga and soon trained to teach, but then discovered Hot Yoga, which was both incredibly challenging and extremely rewarding. It was also the only type of yoga I could persuade my mother to try. In my two years of teaching Hot Yoga I’ve been developing my ability to create momentum, motivation and relaxation by projecting my voice in different ways to promote the natural progression of the class, so students can focus on their practice and get the best out of their time on the mat.
